Challenges & Solutions

Challenges

  • CreatorUp had low visibility for most production freelancers

  • Competing with dozens of other similar platforms

  • A company that evolved their business model after I joined

  • Thriving with limited resources

Solutions

  • Creating real working relationships with creators to build trust in the organization

  • Buckle up, hang in there, and adjust as the company adjusts

  • Find as many free services and platforms for hiring as possible

Highlights

Labster NDSU

I had to staff a project that required finding a crew for a shoot in Fargo. While there is a production community in the area, our company had limited access and some budget constraints. So how did we solve the problem? I jumped in myself.

Because I’d recently moved to the Fargo area I led the charge with Directing and Producing the project with a local crew. The CreatorUp post team came in for the save and wrapped up the project, so I could go back to day to tasks.
